A client of mine has been looking for an easy way to quickly identify the “North Star” for their target accounts. The north star is typically an executive level financial target or KPI that the account team can use as a basis for building a strategic PoV and compelling c-suite narrative. Not every company declares these key KPIs publicly, but when they do, I’ve found that the best way to surface them is with the following prompt in DatabookGPT:
Search management intent to find what <company_name>’s key performance initiative is. What metric are they targeting to improve? Look for a key KPI or lofty financial target.
I then typically ask DatabookGPT this set of follow up questions:
- what sales plays align best with these initiatives?
- which executives at <company_name> should I talk to about this?
- Draft an outreach email for highlighting the opportunity aligned to ?
- What are some discovery questions I should ask to get more information on ?
